Cargair
Cargair is Canada's largest private flight academy, operating from Saint-Hubert, Mirabel, and Trois-Rivieres in Quebec with a fleet of over 60 aircraft and 50 instructors. Founded in 1961, the school offers integrated airline pilot training with a collegial diploma, and graduates have been hired by Air Canada, WestJet, and other major carriers.
Training Programs
Find Your Path to the Flight Deck
Private Pilot Licence (PPL)
The Private Pilot Licence allows you to fly single-engine aircraft in Canada for personal and recreational purposes. Training covers airmanship, navigation, meteorology, and flight manoeuvres, culminating in a Transport Canada written exam and flight test.
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
The Commercial Pilot Licence qualifies you to be paid to fly aircraft in Canada. Building on PPL fundamentals, CPL training develops precision flying skills, advanced navigation, and the aeronautical knowledge required by Transport Canada for commercial operations.
Multi-Engine Rating
The Multi-Engine Rating authorizes flight in aircraft with more than one engine. Training focuses on the unique handling characteristics of multi-engine aircraft, asymmetric thrust procedures, and engine-failure emergencies critical to safe commercial operations.
Discovery Flight
An introductory flying experience designed for prospective students. You will fly the aircraft under the guidance of an instructor, experience the fundamentals of flight control, and explore whether pilot training is right for you.
Integrated ATP Program
Integrated Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) airline pilot program with collegial diploma leading to ATP certification.
Flight Instructor Rating
The Flight Instructor Rating qualifies pilots to teach others to fly under Transport Canada regulations. Instructor training develops lesson planning, airmanship coaching, and the ability to safely demonstrate and correct student errors in the aircraft.
